Dog boarding · Kountze, Texas

We board dogs at our home in Kountze.

Overnight, weekend, holiday, and extended stays for Southeast Texas families. All breeds welcome. Someone is here with the dogs day and night.

Home-style boarding

Your dog stays at our home, not in a building down the road.

We have raised dogs at this address since 2002, and we board for local families the same way we care for our own: in the house and yard, on a normal routine, with someone here.

That is the whole difference. Most kennels lock the doors at night and nobody comes back until morning. At Texas Doodles, we live here. Your dog is never alone overnight.

Boarding questions

What families ask before they book.

Do I have to be a Texas Doodles puppy family to board?

No. We board dogs for local families whether or not their dog came from our program.

What breeds and sizes do you accept?

All breeds and sizes are welcome after a quick conversation about your dog, their temperament, and how they do around other dogs.

Are vaccinations required?

Yes. Every dog that stays with us must be current on vaccinations, and we ask for records from your veterinarian.

Is someone there overnight?

Yes. We live on the property, so your dog is not left alone in a building overnight.

What should I bring?

Their regular food for the length of the stay, any medications with instructions, vaccination records, a leash and collar with ID, and something familiar such as a bed or a favorite toy.

What does boarding cost, and what are your hours?

Rates and drop-off windows depend on the stay, so call or text 409-284-1997 or send the request form and Stacy will confirm everything with you directly.

Do you board over holidays?

Holiday and school-break dates are available but fill up quickly. Send your dates as early as you can.
